On June 20, 2024, Chen Chengmin, Vice President of Sinochem Holdings and Chairman and President of Sinochem Energy, met with a delegation led by Ben Luckock, President of Trafigura, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on collaboration in crude oil, refined products, coal, natural gas, and other business sectors.

Chen extended a warm welcome to Trafigura and expressed appreciation for its visit. He noted the strong foundation and broad scope of cooperation between Sinochem Group and Trafigura, expressing hopes that both sides could further explore synergies across the energy value chain beyond crude and refined oil trade. Leveraging energy trade to drive industrial development, they could lift cooperation to new heights.

Ben Luckock provided an overview of Trafigura’s history and business operations. He reiterated that Sinochem Group has long been a key partner for Trafigura and expressed hopes that both sides could leverage complementary industrial strengths to deepen global cooperation and achieve win-win outcomes.
