On May 20, 2024, the Zangang Battery Swap Station in Xiong’an New Area commenced operations, marking Sinochem New Energy’s decisive entry into the heavy-duty vehicle battery swap sector. The station adopts a top-mounted battery swap model with 10 charging bays, capable of handling over 200 daily battery swaps.

As a key platform under Sinochem Oil Marketing, a subsidiary of Sinochem Energy, Sinochem New Energy is committed to serving Xiong’an New Area, exploring energy transition, and supporting carbon and emission reduction efforts. The company focuses on replacing fossil-based energy with green alternatives in chemical industrial parks and building a low-carbon transportation network by actively promoting distributed photovoltaic and battery swap/charging services.

In 2023, Sinochem New Energy signed cooperation agreements with Foton Motor Group and Jinmao Smart Transportation Technology Co., Ltd. to advance the heavy-duty truck battery swap business jointly. Looking ahead, Sinochem New Energy will align closely with China’s “dual carbon” goals, leverage its resource strengths, expand its network of collaborative partners, and accelerate the development of a new integrated energy services ecosystem to drive the growth of its new energy business.
