Recently, the 2025 oil spill emergency drill was conducted at the No. 6 berth of Sinochem Xingzhong Oil Staging (Zhoushan) Co., Ltd. in the Aoshan Port Zone of Ningbo Zhoushan Port. The drill simulated an oil spill incident where approximately one ton of fuel oil overflowed into the sea due to improper operation and delayed tank switching during the loading of an oil tanker at the berth. The local maritime authority promptly dispatched the “Maritime Patrol 07349” and “Maritime Patrol 0731” to command the rescue operations. A total of 12 vessels were mobilized, including “Xinhaiqing,” “Sinochem Emergency”, and “Hai'anqing 1”, along with two fire trucks. Over 800 meters of oil containment booms were deployed, and emergency response supplies, including oil dispersants and oil absorbent mats, were utilized to effectively contain and clean up the pollutants from the simulated "oil spill incident."
