Recently, “Motor Vehicle Emission Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment—Refined Oil Joint Research Center of Sinochem Oil” (hereinafter referred to as “Joint Research Center”), jointly founded by Sinochem Oil Marketing Co., Ltd. and Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, has been formally unveiled.

Backed up by National-class Key Laboratory of Environmental Protection and Motor Vehicle Pollution Control and Simulation of Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences and Fuel Commodity Joint Laboratory of Sinochem Oil, Joint Research Center has been respectively unveiled with the same nameplate in the designated laboratories of both parties, which will jointly launch a variety of research cooperation projects.

Both parties will strive to make progress in joint research in a three-pronged manner: (1) All-round and long-term scientific research cooperation will be carried out in the fields of air pollution prevention and control, oil product supervision, laboratory capacity building, clean fuel oil performance research and informatization construction; (2) Commercialization, promotion and application of scientific research achievements will make progress in the fields of oil product cleanliness, joint research and development of oil product monitoring technology, promotion and application of clean fuel oil, construction of private petrol station platforms, popularization of mobile inspection vehicles and data sharing; (3) Joint key research projects will be launched, such as research on pilot for clean fuel oil supply in key cities for pollution prevention and control in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, high-performance branded oil product technology and research on refined oil quality service.

Leveraging the advantages of both parties, in the next step, Joint Research Center will take fast track for key projects, such as research on pilot for clean fuel oil supply in key cities for pollution prevention and control in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, high-performance branded oil product technology and research on refined oil quality service. Both parties will profoundly collaborate in government, industry, academia and research, harvest top-grade fruits together, achieve win-win development, and contribute to winning the battle against air pollution and propelling the development of clean energy.
