Mr. Zhang Wei (张伟)，has been the Chairman of the Board . He also serves as director and president of Sinochem Group and Sinochem Corporation.

Mr. Zhang has served in Sinochem Group for more than 20 years. He served as vice general manager (acting in the capacity of general manager) of phosphatic fertilizer department , general manager of phosphatic fertilizer department, vice president, general manager of marketing management department, general manager of market distribution department, general manager of direct selling department of Sinofert Co., Ltd., and been chairman of Sinofert Holdings Limited. Mr. Zhang served as vice president of Sinochem International Industries Company, president of Total-Sinochem Oil, and president of Sinochem Industries Co, Ltd. and president of Sinochem Oil. Mr. Zhang has held several positions in Sinochem Group, including assistant president, vice president ，director and president. He served as  president of the Strategic Business Units of Energy and president of Strategic Business Units of Chemical Engineering. Mr. Zhang served as executive vice president, president of China National Seeds Group Co., Ltd. . He served as president of Sinochem E&P, and vice chairman of West Pacific.  Mr. Zhang has served as president and chairman of Sinochem American Holdings, Inc., respectively. He has served as chairman of Sinochem Europe Holdings Plc, chairman of Sinochem International Corporation and DSM Sinochem Pharmaceuticals Limited. He has also served as chairman of Zhoushan National Petroleum Reserve Base Co., Ltd., an Independent Third Party.

Mr. Zhang obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and technology from the department of chemical engineering of Tsinghua University in September 1992 and a master’s degree in biochemical engineering from the department of chemical engineering of Tsinghua University in May 1995. He also obtained an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School in September 2005. He was recognized as a senior economist by China National Seeds Group Co., Ltd. in December 2011.
